( It takes he a little while to respond because she's still busy with all of these new year prayers... but she'll respond as soon as she's able to. )

Just reading up on Shinki spells and magic. Do you know anything about them?

Yamanbagiri-san, my shinki, recently learned a spell to ward off lightning.

( And she has a thought. )

If you'd like, I can ask him to contact you.

( Because it might be nice to have Yamanbagiri make more friends but also, they could probably both help each other out. )

As for magic, I'm a healer in my home country. I practiced divination too, but only a little.

[He's still getting the hang of the basics. Talking with Yamanbagiri might help out a lot. Sakura's knowledgeable in healing magic. That's cool.

Using spells like that might put strain on the caster. Ren's got a contemplative look on his face. Then he sends the next message several minutes later. ]

Not from the spells, no. However, it takes more than magic to heal someone. I think that's the most tiring part of it all.

I'm not complaining! Anything to help those in need is worth it for me.

[ They only met recently but Ren can tell that Sakura's the type who'd never abandon someone in need. ]

Maybe I should go to you when I get hurt.

[ Not that he's planning on getting injured anytime soon..but y'know. He's a Shinki and they're expected to fight sometimes. ]

[Look, it's been like a week since the dreams and Ren saw quite a bit about Hope there. The boy didn't know how to approach Ren just yet. Especially now that he had a craving for ramen that he wanted to try for real now.]

Did you ever find your cat?

Spots just went out for a walk. He's fine.

[ He was literally worrying over nothing. Ren's such a worry wart sometimes. It was nice of Hope to check up on him nonetheless. ]

I haven't seen him in this place before.. He has this super noticable crescent moon shaped tattoo on his forehead, so anyone who'd see him would remember him, I'm sure.

Unless you and I actually knew each other during life and just forgot! Then you definitely would've known him back during life!

A guy with a moon shape on his forehead? Doesn't ring a bell. Still wish I could have seen him though.
